I am an active member of Wealthy Affiliate. From what I have seen on the internet, this is the best program to join if you are really determined to learn internet marketing. The advise and guidance are always current and incredibly accurate.
Where The Rich Jerk gives you individual techniques for making money online, Wealthy Affiliate University gives you step-by-step guidance on every element of internet marketing. The difference is huge.
For the first 8 weeks you are sent a weekly set of goals to accomplish. These come packaged in tight, easy to follow tutorials, as well as links to other resources recommended by Kyle and Carson that can significantly enhance the performance of your websites. These tutorials help you build your first campaigns. You can return to these tutorial as often as you need, and more become available frequently. This is a must-do if you sign up.
They offer a ton of handy tools that make your life much easier. The keyword tool allows you to research what your competition is doing, how their keywords are performing, and what ads are working best for them. You can establish a set of keywords, and another tool will generate all of the other options you might need. For every campaign I have assembled, the keyword tool has been essential.
The tutorials are complete, easy to understand, and are useful no matter how far you are in you process. Whether you are just beginning and want to see what you'll be learning, you've been making good money for a while and want to beef up your skills, or if you are like me and seem to always forget that one little step that make the difference, the tutorials always have something to offer.
As a member, you have access to a number of free books you can download. These revolve around finding hot topics and keywords, and how best to construct a successful campaign. This is information you can find other places, but not as accurate, and certainly not as easy to understand.
Kyle and Carson, in the true spirit of giving back what they have received deliver so much material to work with that is current, effective, and easy to use. Few people could craft this process better.

The forum is remarkably helpful. Every question I've had I've been able to answer simply by reading through the forum, or posting a question. People genuinely want to help. My most challenging problem received 6 replies from different people, all of whom stuck with me until my problem was resolved.
Perhaps the most amazing thing about this program is your ability to connect directly with Kyle and Carson. If you have created a website, landing page, or ad campaign, and you are not sure about it, you can contact them to have it reviewed. In my time on the internet I have not seen another community that offers that. If you are really stuck, just fire off an email to Kyle or Carson, and they get back to you within a day... absolutely amazing for a couple of very busy business men. |

Site Building With Site Rubix
At Wealthy Affiliate you have total access to one of the newest site building tools available, Site Rubix. This is the easiest tool I've ever used after trying out BlueVoda, Joomla and NVU. You don't need to know any HTML at all, but can easily insert it with the click of a button on the toolbar. Linking, customizing, and getting your site launched can literally happen within an hour. This entire site is built on Site Rubix- it's an incredible add-on resource. One note, though, if you use Site Rubix alone, or within Wealthy Affiliate, you'll need to use Mozilla Firefox as your browser. |

Anything Bad?
My only problem with WA has to do with the hosting for your website.
As I just told you, you get to work with Site Rubix, which is excellentl. With your membership you are given hosting for up to three sites, and up to 5000 pages (you can build more sites here, and have them hosted elsewhere, which is great). But there is not enough guidance yet, in my opinion, on how to work with the hosting to make it comfortable for a beginner. This is frustrating when you want to get your site launched-- but fortunately, it's not too complicated. I know that Kyle and Carson are aware of this, and are working on new tutorials to help people through. While that happens, the forum is always there to help you with that last few steps. Even at 3:00 in the morning. In the end it only took me about half an hour to figure it out- so it's not terrible.
Some members have even constructed sites just to help WA members, like this one.
Conclusion
Internet marketing is a complex, competitive world. The rewards of making it here are enormous, and therefore worth the struggle to learn. Most people who learned how to do this effectively took months, if not years to become truly successful. With resources like Wealthy Affiliate, that time is cut down to weeks-- sometimes even days for a lucky few.
People will tell you that you can start in this business for free, but in my experience, you will always need to spend some money to have an effective campaign. At Wealthy Affiliate you have access to an entire package- learning tools, support, web-building tools, hosting, email, blogging, your own space and a forum that is second to none. At this time, we are all wondering what the rate hike will be, and feeling really lucky to be a part of this system. If you have been considering joining, again, this is definitely the time to do it. It will never be this affordable again.
