But is he real?

The Rich Jerk, aka Kelly Felix was a fledgling actor turned extraordinary internet marketer.  His techniques may be questionable at times, but Rich Jerk's book  sparked a fire that launched a successful internet business for me.

When I first started, it was Rich Jerk's techniques that brought me $400 per week!

I bought Rich Jerk's book and  Holly Mann's book on the same day-- actually within minutes of each-other. On any internet search you'll find the two back to back,  because Holly "piggybacked" Rich Jerk's success by including "Rich Jerk", and "No Thanks Rich Jerk" in her keywords for her own book.

Where Holly's book Honest Riches  is professional, courteous and warm, Rich Jerk's book Making Money On The Internet is aggressive, hard-hitting, and unapologetic. 

But it's excellent! 

The techniques he outlines are  easy to use, and the payback on them is astonishing.  Through Rich Jerk, I was able to see the first tangible signs of success in internet marketing, when I thought I would see nothing.

What's so nice is RJ's ability to cut through the fluff, and deliver clear, easy-to-follow techniques that you can immediately put to use-- in 63 pages.  Again, while you won't see success in ten minutes, by modifying what he says to suit your sensibilities, you can see success happen with a couple of weeks.

The book started off at around $100, I believe, and has dropped and dropped to the now almost pitiful price of $10.  At that price, there's almost no excuse for not buying it.  You will get something out of it. If you sign on as an affiliate, he's offering a 400% commission based on your number of sales.

So What's He Offer?

Whether it's finding the best price for PPC advertising somewhere other than Google, writing a catchy ad that truly converts for you, or investigating some of his more advanced money making projects online (some things I haven't gotten to yet!), anyone who is building a business online can use this.

He has an aggressive practical guide for writing sales letters that is incredibly effective.

When I signed up, I bought audio book as well, because it allowed me to work online-- or make brownies-- while I was learning.  For someone who learns more easily through audio-visual tutorials, this is a really big plus.

Also, the person reading the book offers his take on RJ's techniques, as well as offering his own insight.  Every little bit helps!

I  got a nice package with a hard copy of the book about a week after I signed up (since you can't print it off the internet), a disc with the audio book, and a t-shirt that I will never wear... not even to sleep in.

Is There Anything Negative About The Rich Jerk?

Well, I stopped enjoying his emails in very short order.  While trying to get my business going in those early days, it got pretty discouraging to get another email that started with--

Hey Loser...

I know it's supposed to be motivational in a backwards way, but if I needed that kind of motivation, I'd just call up a member of my family.

And I got an email from his assistant that he was "looking for people in my area for him to work with directly."  After my experience with LegitOnlineJobs (see my review), I was a little wary.  I responded that if this involved my paying him more money to get help, I was not interested.

I never heard another word about it.

He also gives you an offer for a "free" website.  I strongly advise against this.

First, while the website may be "free" the hosting of it is not.  Hosting is through Midphase, which costs $7.95 per month (pretty standard)-- and they're a little surly when you call to ask for help.  You do have to pay for a year all at once-- typical for hosting sites.  After  coughing up $148- the extra for setting up a Rich Jerk only site- you have to wait a couple of days for them to set it up.  If you are a beginner, you then have to go to the control panel and set up a bunch of preferences that you aren't going to understand. 

Then you have to get your page noticed.  And after years of Rich Jerk successes, the competition is fierce. As a beginner, you won't have much luck against the people who have promoted him for a longer period of time.  Plus, figuring out how to modify your page is a nightmare. 

Conclusion:

It's not easy to get started in internet marketing, and there are terrible stories of people getting scammed of hundreds, or even thousands of dollars by unscrupulous players.

The Rich Jerk is a legitimate venture--certainly worth reading the book, and becoming an affiliate for.

If you are really sensitive and get hurt feeling easily, you might be better off

The information contained in his book outlines the strategies Rich Jerk used to make himself incredibly wealthy on the internet.  They are condensed into this little gem of a book at a price that still surprises me. Anybody can take his techniques, make them their own, and create a healthy income in a very small amount of time.
